Hello and welcome! My name is Jess and I am thrilled to be teaching Baby Signing classes and Toddler Talking classes in Melton Mowbray & Edwalton!

about me, my TinyTalk journey and what my classes offer...
I am a mummy to my 3.5 year old little TinyTalker, Henry! I first heard of TinyTalk when I was pregnant in lockdown during a visit to my midwife. I knew baby signing was definitely something I wanted to teach my baby and felt it would be amazing for him to learn to communicate with me and the people around him so he would feel more understood. I feel very passionate about teaching all babies and children this fantastic skill and by doing so, aiding their language and communication development.
Henry was 5.5 months old when classes returned to face-to-face teaching, I was hooked after the first class! The combination of baby signing, singing, action songs, reading and sensory activities was fantastic, I really felt like we were enjoying an all-round class and definitely getting our money's worth! It was the most incredible experience when Henry signed his first sign to me and his dad. We thought it would be milk but no, it was "more"! Shortly followed by nappy and bird. Everywhere we went we had to look for birds so he could practice his signing; as soon as he woke up he wanted to look out of the window for birds! Henry was super proud of himself and has been with every sign he has mastered since. It has also helped to create a wonderful bond with his dad as Henry has taught him to sign!
Fast forward 6 months and I knew this is what I wanted to do, to teach these amazing classes! In February 2022, I took the plunge and began my journey to becoming a TinyTalk teacher. Safe to say, I haven't looked back since!
Both my Baby Signing and Toddler Talking classes are full of fun with a HUGE focus on developing your childs speech and language skills. For more info on how our classes differ, please have a read through the tabs above!
Each class includes half an hour of singing, signing and of course...lots of fun ! PLUS half an hour of social time with toys, biscuits and most importantly...caffeine ! (Don't worry, you don't have to drink caffeine, I promise there are other options).
Whatever age your child(ren) is, I can promise you will both enjoy my classes, just as much as I enjoy teaching them!

Secret Passion:Organising - anything! Toys, day plans, dinner lists - I'm terrible!
I most admire:Positive energy
I love baby signing because:I have witnessed first hand how amazing these classes are at teaching babies from such a young age how to communicate before they can talk. It has been extremely rewarding watching my boy sign!
