Baby Signing classes in Aberdeen City

Hi, My name's Diana and I'm your local Tinytalk teacher for Aberdeen City!

I'm Mummy to Liam (15yrs old) and Lilly (5yrs old) and I'm very happy to be able to bring TinyTalk Baby Signing classes to the city to give you the opportunity to come along and experience how much fun the classes are and how amazing baby signing is as I discovered with my babies.

The combination of signing, singing and

sensory followed by social time is a winning combination and made our Tinytalk class the highlight of our week.

I was amazed at how quickly both my babies and I picked up the basic signs and how easy it was to integrate the British Sign Language (BSL) signs into our daily routines. As both babies got older, their use of signing to let me know when they needed a new nappy, were sleepy, hungry or thirsty was invaluable and defused many potentially stressful situations!

I found it so rewarding to be able to communicate with both Liam and Lilly before they could speak, and the look of delight on their faces when they realised that they could make themselves understood is something I'll never forget.

Babies really do have so much to say and signing gives them the opportunity to communicate effectively reducing frustration.

I am excited to be running In Person classes again and am happy to be offering 2 classes at Ferryhill Community Centre and 3 classes at Holburn West Church. TinyTalk classes are fun and interactive and each week incorporate a different theme such as Snack time, Playing in the Garden, Pets and Bedtime. I will teach you simple and useful BSL core signs such as 'milk', 'food', 'Mummy' and 'Daddy' which you will be able to easily incorporate into your daily family life and routine to help you build communication with your baby. These are taught through popular children songs and nursery rhymes introducing signs in a stimulating and fun way. We also do a sensory activity each class incorporating scarves, mirrors, flashing balls and lots and lots of bubbles! The classes are fun and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

At TinyTalk, our classes offer excellent value for money as we charge by family not per child so there is no additional charge for twins or older siblings or even visiting Grandparents joining us. No previous experience or a perfect signing voice is required to enjoy the classes!
