to get involved in a local class to get me out the house and meeting other mums. I searched classes held in the community centre across the road from me and viola, there was TinyTalk. Baby signing was something that I had a big interest in, so Luna and I started TinyTalk lessons when she was around 10 weeks old. We loved the classes right from the start. Learning a new skill, meeting other mums and dads and having a small background in signing I knew this was something I wanted my children to learn. A few years passed and I moved to a new location, did TinyTalk with my second, Aria and now I share my love of sign by teaching.

I very quickly found that Luna was able to pick up signs and communicate from just 7 months, her first sign being a super useful one, 'milk', and then she quickly rolled out new ones all the time. Rather than crying and getting so frustrated, I’d given my daughter the ability to talk to me and others, to tell me what she needed, without all the frustrations babies get from not being able to tell their parents what they want, and need. Aria started TinyTalk classes later than Luna due to us relocating. We joined a class further away when Aria was 8 months old and she made excellent progress too. They make me so proud!
